The topic of the presentation by Meyer will be creating financial resilient homeownership through the rent to own concept.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Meyer and his office participated many years ago to raise funds and the construction of houses in the Mfuleni township project.
This led to the development of a homeownership education programmes for first time buyers and such were implemented for African Bank employees.
For a Bredasdorp housing project, he developed a unique rent-to-own structure for ASLA, in collaboration with the Department of Human Settlements Western Cape and the Cape Agulhas Municipality, which is regarded as a ground-breaking innovative product, offering innovative housing solutions.
